...the clubroom was closed from 6 -7 pm so the barsteward and members would go home to have supper with their wives
...the price of Liquor and beer was 90 cents, draft - 50 cents and a pitcher of beer - $3.75 (1981)
...the Branch used to host Harmonica contests
...the ladies' curling team beat the men’s team

...dishes were washed by hand for Branch functions
...there was a new flame committee
...stamps were 29 cents (1946)
...the Branch held Mystery Bus Tours
...the Branch had bus trips to Casino Rama
...the Legion had a girls softball team
...darts and men’s curling team made it to Provincials
...the Branch used to charge for popcorn in the clubroom
...raffle tickets were only 25 cents
...the Prime Minister, Hon. Louis St. Laurent laid a wreath at the cenotaph during his visit to Palmerston on June 1, 1949
...the Legion held Donkey Baseball
...the Legion meetings were held at the “Armories” building (Post Office)
...there was a wall separating a Ladies’ room and a men’s room
...there were stairs outside the front entrance
...the clubroom walls were red, yellow and black with matching chairs
...the upstairs hall tables used to be made up of saw horses and plywood
