Tammy Donaldson - Creator/haunt & prop builder
In 2002, I was thinking of some fundraiser ideas for the Palmerston Legion. I thought, what a fun idea to try to create a haunted house. Fun was the right word, but I didn't think it would be as much work as it has grown into in the past 8 years. Silly me, but looking back, I wouldn't change a thing.
I am thinking haunted house 24/7. Some of my family and friends are questioning my sanity, but what a great hobby to have. I have also found out that I am not the only haunted house fanatic out there, there is a whole community, which I have found on hh forums, websites and conventions around the world that I can share ideas, pictures and videos of each others props and haunted houses.
The people behind Nightmare on Daly St., are wonderful people. Like me, they volunteer their time to create props, buy supplies, build and decorate the haunted house. We have a very short turn around to 'THE" build and tear down that it creates long hours and sleepless nights to have it ready for our first show. I can't thank all the workers enough to be extremely giving of the time and effort to put on a great show for our "victims" er-patrons. Thank you!
